The Repeat Beat Poet is PJ, a broadcaster, journalist and Hip Hop Poet who fuses traditional poetics and Hip Hop culture to capture and extend moments of time, thought, and feeling. The Repeat Beat Poet has appeared across the UK and internationally, in musical, theatrical, and poetic performances at venues such as The Royal Albert Hall, Battersea Arts Centre, Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club, at multiple festivals including the Edinburgh Fringe and Brainchild, on picket lines, and has facilitated poetry workshops in the medical and educational sectors. PJ also produces and hosts the monthly spoken word events Boomerang and Pen-Ting, is a house emcee with Hip Hop label and jam night Imaginary Millions, and is the creator of the Hip Hop/Spoken Word radio show #TheRepeatBeatBroadcast. In 2019 PJ was nominated for a Jerwood Compton Poetry Fellowship and was selected for the BBC 1Xtra Words First poetry programme, and in 2020 PJ will be releasing his debut EP.
