The Bombay Jazz Club

Founded in 2012 by D. Wood and Rajesh Punjabi, The Bombay Jazz Club has been consistently producing weekly programs of live Jazz at Whistling Woods International's creative arts space the Bandra Base, its headquarters. The Bombay Jazz Club has ensured that Jazz is a central feature of India and Mumbai City's busy music scene. With core members forming the Bombay Jazz Club House Band, they have played host to legions of outstanding musicians from all across India and the world. Their ever expanding repertoire includes Funky grooves, Wailing improvisation, Jazzy riffs, Latin beats, and soulful, swinging non stop music making. On our 1st Bombay Jazz Club @ Sofar event we feature From Spain by way of Amsterdam Keyboard specialist Alfie Copovi, along with drum guru Ko Omura from Tokyo, Japan and Bombay Jazz Club co founder D.Wood on Bass from USA.
