NOVACUB was founded in 2018 by Louise Bartle (Bloc Party) + Russell Lissack (Bloc Party), who were later joined by Venezuelan drummer Tony Alda (Los Amigos Invisibles, Los Mesoneros) and Welsh bassist / harpist Iona Thomas (Neneh Cherry, Laura Mvula). Described as “a jubilant form of escapism from the stressful turmoil of modern life”, London-based NOVACUB, released ‘I Wanted to Keep You’ - the first of three singles from a Q1 2022 EP - on 10th Sept. Throughout October and fresh off the back of supporting Indie favourites, King No-One, on their UK tour, NOVACUB’s music has seen nearly 300 spins on Amazing Radio alone and support from the likes of Adam Walton (BBC Introducing), Charlie Ashcroft (Amazing Radio), and acclaimed actor Robert Carlyle, who included previous single ‘Fantasies’ on his Boogaloo guest show. Complementing their radio and platform support, NOVACUB will be partnering with Shure in 2022, as the brand’s latest ‘Make the World Your Stage’ featured artist (previous features include Jake Isaac and Lucy May Walker).
NOVACUB has performed in Sofar London.
