Melanie’s lyrics have been described as “haunting yet humorous” and possessing a “sentimental cynicism” that “oozes with Gen-Z relatability.” Since releasing her stunning debut EP “Kill My Time” in 2022 independently melanie has established herself as a prolific and promising indie folk artist. Within a few months of the release, she had signed with Tone Tree, landed several coveted playlist spots, and released a second EP of duets with songwriter Lorkin O’Reilly which they toured in the UK and Ireland. Since she has released her second solo EP “Tourist” in April 2023 and went on her first US headline tour with Northeast and Midwest runs. She has played with other up and coming songwriters like Baerd, Paul Moody, Torri Weidinger, June Henry, and Quinn Devlin and owned for Jessica Lea Mayfield. In 2024 Melanie had the opening spot on Charlie Starr's (Blackberry Smoke) solo tour in January and opened shows for Caleb Caudle in the fall. In between she recorded and released a new EP entitled “Bloodlust,” debuting her new songs at the Sultan Room in Brooklyn and the Basment in nashville.
