Joe Maye

Inspired by church hymns, cinematic films, and musicals, Joe discovered his passion for music around the age of 12. “I was always getting into trouble so spent a lot of time alone in my room on punishment . I would pass the time by just being creative. Dancing, acting out scenes, writing scenes, writing music…” Joe began his performance career singing on dinner cruises in Baltimore, before eventually joining a collective of artist in DC known as Thee House Collective. The band toured various venues and festivals, making a name for themselves in the DMV. After the band disbanded, Joe relocated to Los Angeles and was casted on Season 10 of NBC’s The Voice. While on the show he shared a viral performance with Christina Aguilera, gaining the attention of millions of viewers. Since the show success, Joe's gained millions of viewers on Youtube, features on national entertainment publications, and a spot on the iTunes Pop Charts after performing a rendition of The Doobie Brothers 1982 smash hit "Long Train Running". It would be unrealistic to fit Joe in any specific genre of music as his sound fuses combined elements of Rock, Pop, R&B, Alternative, and Soul. Some of his biggest influences include, Stevie Wonder, Rick James, Prince and Lenny Kravitz.
