Beats Remedy

Since it was born, hip hop fed itself from jazz and funk samples, adding synthetic drum-machine beats and repetitive bass lines: a hypnotic effect on the eardrum and brain. It is perhaps time for hip hop to bring back to live music all that it has borrowed. In this context, the Beats Remedy band is an assertive group. Bass, drums, keyboards and turntables gathered together to play the messy jerky sound, but also a fresh breath of originality, issued solely out of the improvisational ability of some musicians who are both cohesive and eclectic inside.
