Alyx Bell

California-born, now London based Alyx Bell fuses jazzy chords and soul grooves with folk melodies and emotive lyrics to create a unique sound: think Joni Mitchell meets D'Angelo. After spending two years learning music production from Jordan Rakei, in September 2022 the emerging alternative-soul artist left her job as a mechanical engineer in the US to join the music scene in London. With only 3 songs out so far, Alyx's music has already been played on Jazz FM, Global Soul Radio, Radio 1 Prague, BBC Radio London and received support from UK tastemakers including Somewhere Soul and DMY Artists. She was also interviewed on BBC Radio London's "The Scene" as an up and coming artist to watch. Since moving to London, Alyx has performed at venues such as Folklore, Servant Jazz Quarters, and Paper Dress Vintage. She has also been noticed on social media for her intricate harmony arrangements and innovative production, using household items such as sauce pans and pizza boxes to create beats. Alyx hopes to bring listeners a sense of peace and empowerment as they step into her musical world.
