Here\u2019s your Sofar Artist News for May 2024. It\u2019s kinda long, and frankly, that\u2019s what we love about it.<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A whole slew of artists who\u2019ve played Sofar shows were included in the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.npr.org\/2024\/05\/02\/1248446544\/tiny-desk-contest-fan-vote\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">NPR Tiny Desk Contest Fan Vote<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. These included Alejandro Aranda, Bandits on the Run, DAP The Contract, Jett Kwong, Nellie, Ollella, Rijah, and The Philharmonik.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YOU ARE NOT A GHOST (A NPR Tiny Desk Contest Meditation)\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/L-ECWMX276s?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This is a huge achievement for all these artists, so we want to applaud them for getting that far. And now we can share that the winner is\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">2. \u2026The Philharmonik!!! The Bay Area singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist took home the grand prize, emerging as the winner from nearly 7,000 entries. The announcement was made on <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/C6_WrB6ssUs\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">the Tiny Desk show<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, and The Philharmonik immediately brought his band into frame to celebrate. We\u2019re stoked for him; he\u2019s played over 130 Sofar shows!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"The Philharmonik "What's It All Mean?" Speaking of tours, Remi Wolf\u2019s <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.remiwolf.com\/tour\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Big Ideas Tour<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> is underway in Europe <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">right now<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, with show dates through June. The US leg kicks off in September, and we\u2019re stoked to announce Wolf is partnering with Sofar VIP & Seated! In other tour news, some familiar faces are on the road supporting Tank, Carl Thomas, and Keri Hilson\u2019s <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thernbmoneytour.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">R&B Money tour<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> across the US. Maybe these artists will be playing Sofars near you\u2026We\u2019ll never tell!
