This year\u2019s theme \u201cHappier Together\u201d shows us how important community can be to the creative process, which is further highlighted by this Sofar Story.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For Denver singer-songwriter <a href=\"https:\/\/open.spotify.com\/artist\/2dJMUbpHbVow3dCaWghrlJ?si=hzh7C3fQQQuhoAQXwZpZRg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Kaitlyn Williams<\/a>, who was a Sofar Artist-in-Residence in London, community is vital to her mental health and songwriting process. Going into the residency, she knew that she had to find a way to build that community through non-digital means. So she worked with local artist Matilda White to design postcards she could give to important people in her new world.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In this video, Kaitlyn Williams shares her thoughts behind the postcard project, the importance of community, and being happy together.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cI think one of the reasons I love community so much is that no one is an island in life today. People think that we should just be solving our problems all on our own. Self-love and self-care \u2013\u00a0it&#8217;s all about self. None of what I did here in London would have happened if I was by myself. So many people made this journey possible.
