For this year\u2019s World Mental Health Day, we\u2019ve partnered with <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/nettwerk.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Nettwerk Music Group<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/twloha.com\/?gclid=CjwKCAjwgZCoBhBnEiwAz35RwiMdG2VSaFyLLvqb86IwK5sLE2pn217WypSE4CVzeHsYM_2RBdc-oRoCw1wQAvD_BwE\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To Write Love on Her Arms<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (TWLOHA) <\/span><b>A Night of Music & Healing, a series of special shows dedicated to mental health advocacy and awareness.\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Artists in <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sofarsounds.com\/events\/52140\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Austin<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sofarsounds.com\/events\/51881\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Los Angeles<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sofarsounds.com\/events\/50677\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">London<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sofarsounds.com\/events\/52228\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">New York<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sofarsounds.com\/events\/51334\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Portland<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sofarsounds.com\/events\/52091\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Toronto<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sofarsounds.com\/events\/51369\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Vancouver<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> will take the stage to bring awareness to the healing properties of music, with the hopes of creating an open dialogue among music fans, and de-stigmatizing the conversations around mental health.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cI am so grateful to be at a place in my mental health journey where I feel ready and comfortable talking about my experiences with predominantly depression, but also anxiety,” said artist Lily Kershaw, who will be taking the stage in Los Angeles on October 13th. \u201cI have had the opportunity to play a few Sofar shows over the years, and I have always loved and appreciated the intimate and supportive environment they provide.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cCreating a safe and inclusive space for artists and audiences to connect through live music is core to Sofar’s mission,\u201d said Shane Tobin, VP of Partnerships at Sofar Sounds. \u201cWe’re honored to partner with Nettwerk and support artists in their journey towards mental health through this series of performances while also contributing a portion of proceeds to To Write Love on Her Arms, a leader in providing hope, support and mental health resources for those in need.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cWe are constantly inspired by the many artists from our roster who advocate for normalizing open conversations around mental health,\u201d said Danielle Romeo, Senior Vice President of Publicity for Nettwerk. \u201dIt\u2019s wonderful to celebrate this moment by bringing these artists together to share their music, their stories, and provide a safe space for audiences to connect, heal and grow. We are proud to support an organization like To Write Love On Her Arms, which for over fifteen years has been a leader in providing crucial mental health resources to those in need.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Additionally, a portion of all ticket sale proceeds will be donated to <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/twloha.com\/?gclid=CjwKCAjwgZCoBhBnEiwAz35RwiMdG2VSaFyLLvqb86IwK5sLE2pn217WypSE4CVzeHsYM_2RBdc-oRoCw1wQAvD_BwE\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><b>TWLOHA<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">a nonprofit movement dedicated to hope and finding help for people struggling with depression, addiction, self-injury, and suicide.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cAt TWLOHA we believe music is a safe space,\u201d said Amber Gardner, TWLOHA\u2019s Director of Partnerships. \u201cIdentifying and processing our feelings can be part of caring for our mental health. When we can\u2019t do that with words, music steps in with all its lyrics, melodies, rhythms, and harmonies.
