And while everyday we bring new talented artists into the fold, sometimes we have to pause and dive back into the treasure trove of incredible performances we\u2019ve seen over the years. Here are a few standouts that just keep getting better with time.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Tiggs Da Author &#8211; Mr Weatherman | Sofar London<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>This thing grips from the first dreamy piano notes (seriously, that tone is darn-right haunting), and then when Tiggs Da Author starts up, you\u2019re just plain mesmerized. The London-via-Tanzania artist has such a stirring timbre and delivery as he glides through this performance that feels somehow simple and experimental. You\u2019ll keep coming back to this one.<\/p>\n<div><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/ZeBBaNf0L0o\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/div>\n<h2><strong>Hyperpotamus &#8211; Strawberry Fields Forever | Sofar Berlin<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Back in 2011, the Madrid-born artist let us peer over his shoulder as he wove long strands of vocal notes, pinning in some beatboxing rhythms, bringing it together as a multi-colored tapestry cover of none other than the Beatles\u2019 classic tune. You gotta watch it to believe it.<\/p>\n<div><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/6zr9syen5Lw\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/div>\n<h2><strong>Jesca Hoop &#8211; Born To | Sofar Paris<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>So much of Sofar\u2019s heart belongs to cozy, highly intimate living room shows. Jesca Hoop\u2019s Sofar in a Paris apartment epitomizes that\u2013\u00a0stripped down to a guitar and two voices, stilling the room. And at the end when Jesca\u2019s voice starts whipping around like a pan whistle? That\u2019s just magic.<\/p>\n<div><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/XakTTPVY4Yo\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/div>\n<h2><strong>Yeasayer &#8211; I Am Chemistry | Sofar NYC<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Though the band called it quits in 2019, we got the chance to watch them mix and stir the eerie dark sonics of \u201cI Am Chemistry.\u201d Coated in shadows, backed by low rich lights\u2013 you can\u2019t see them, but you can sure hear and feel them.<\/p>\n<div><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/iPYfKOtRPyI\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/div>\n<h2><strong>Kate Davis &#8211; Keep An Open Heart | Sofar NYC<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Before she co-wrote the Sharon Van Etten jammer \u201cSeventeen\u201d, Kate Davis serenaded us with this sweet number, leading the tune with her bass, haloing it with her voice.
