Always. (I\u2019m assuming y\u2019all meant someone else\u2019s music. If you\u2019re talking about my music- definitely SUCCULENT.)<\/p>\n<h2>Can you describe your music style in six words?<\/h2>\n<p>Glitter, pop, shady, queer, black, love.<\/p>\n<h2>Name an accomplishment you are most proud of.<\/h2>\n<p>Singing backup on \u201cWoman\u2019s Work\u201d with Maxwell at the women\u2019s march. At the end of that day I knew I could die happy.<\/p>\n<h2>What are you working on right now?<\/h2>\n<p>I\u2019m working on the album for my musical, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.joesmovement.org\/listofevents\/be-steadwell\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>A Letter to My Ex<\/em><\/a>. I\u2019m also writing a Black Queer adaptation of Pride and Prejudice.<\/p>\n<h2>Are there any specific albums or artists that have had a big influence on your music career and style?<\/h2>\n<p>Yeesh. It\u2019s tough to cut down, but the ones that come to mind are these gorgeous pieces: Lauryn Hill: Miseducation. Meshell Ndegeocello: Bitter. Maro: Vol. 2. Bon Iver: For Emma Forever Ago. Joni Mitchell: Blue. Miles Davis: Kind of Blue. Michael Jackson: Thriller.<\/p>\n<h2>Dream collaboration and why?<\/h2>\n<p>Missy Elliot. Um. Because she\u2019s the greatest. She\u2019s whimsical, silly, and ice-cold brilliant.<\/p>\n<h2>If you could play a Sofar show anywhere in the world tomorrow, where would you want it to be?<\/h2>\n<p>Yeesh. Y\u2019all are really asking the questions. Ok. Give me three. Accra, Ghana. Bahia, Brazil. Or somewhere on the coast in Thailand.<\/p>\n<h2>Who are three rising artists you\u2019re excited about right now?<\/h2>\n<p>I\u2019m SO excited about Tierra Whack (silly, smart, different), Cloud out Loud (buttery, tender, queer music), Chika, Tiffany Gouche, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sofarsounds.com\/artists\/yebba\">Yebba<\/a>.
