When the weather’s nice, why stay indoors? We’d like to introduce you to two excellent Sofar experiences, tailor-made for the perfect evening of live music: Up on the Roof and Open Sky.

Up on the Roof
With Up on the Roof shows, we’re taking the music to some of the city’s best rooftops, where you can catch a sunset, a great view, and some good tunes while soaking up that Sofar magic.
Uruguayan R&B artist Cardellino recorded this breathtaking solo set at a rooftop in Montevideo, complete with a setting sun in the background:
Soulful and groovy, Brooklyn’s On The Sun performed at this rooftop venue in Washington, D.C..
The rooftop was one of the best venues I’ve been to. I know it’s hard to plan with weather, but the lights/view/temp were perfect! — Up on the Roof in Washington, DC
Open Sky
Take in the music under an Open Sky and let your body sway to the breeze, the music, and a little bit of both at these shows in unique outdoor venues.
Does it get any more “open sky” than hearing Josh Barry’s sweeping vocals just beside Westminster Abbey? The British singer-songwriter wowed the crowd at our historic Westminster show in 2022:
At a super recent outdoor show, the incredibly talented Kat Cunning took this crowd’s breath away with her sharp voice, backed only by the grit of an electric guitar:
An already beautiful song, Phosphenes’ “Dust” was made even more remarkable thanks to the wide-open space the band and audience found themselves at this Sofar Kathmandu performance:
A song that floats along a river, much like the one behind Aigua (a band whose name translates to water) in this Sofar Gothenburg performance, “Illa de sal”, is a drifting hypnotic tune, featuring just melodeon and guitar.
I loved the diversity of the line-up (Pride-themed show!). The venue also added some magic to the night. Flora House is an all-timer. — Open Sky/Pride show in Denver
