At this Sofar Los Angeles show in June, Santa Monica-based cellist and singer-songwriter Yeemz delivered an intimate performance of her recently released song “In the City.” Drawing from a blend of indie-folk, classical music, and literary influences, Yeemz drew our audience into her deeply personal and unique sound.
Desta French – Malas | Live at Sofar Manchester x Madrí Excepcional
Desta French, a London-based singer-songwriter with Colombian and Italian roots, is no stranger to the voices of the UK’s Latin community. Recently, Sofar collaborated with Madrí Excepcional for a night of latin-influenced music in Manchester. While Desta’s songs have primarily been in English, she performed “Malas,” a captivating Spanish track that beautifully blends her Latin heritage with the acoustic sounds of guitar.
Olivia Dean – LIVE | Sofar London
Throwing it back to 2020, Olivia Dean, a then up-and-coming neo-soul artist from Haringey, London, recorded a live session for Sofar London. Not gonna lie, this is one of those videos we play on repeat. Her soulful blend of Motown and contemporary simply doesn’t age, so it’s no surprise it’s been trending again on our channel. Enjoy.

The ever-talented Brazilian singer-songwriter Luedji Luna was already crafting her unique Latin and jazz sound before dropping her debut album, which later earned her a Latin Grammy nomination.
