When the weather’s right, who doesn’t love music in outdoor spaces? We’ve been thinking about some of our favorite outdoor venues lately (like Chloe and Brian’s cozy backyard in Louisville, KY, and The Goldsworthys’ lush secret garden in Denver, Colorado), and it’s got us dreaming about spaces all over the world. Just picture yourself in any of these spots, with the sweet air around you filled with music and that perfect evening breeze. Downright intoxicating. Here are some of Sofar’s best outdoor spaces.
1. The Remote Woods in Vancouver, BC
Can you smell the pine? Feel the dusty thin needles sticking to your feet? If you’ve never been to the Pacific Northwest in summer, it’s gonna have to scoot to the near top of your bucket list. When you get there, we’ll tell you where to find the concert.

2. A Backyard in Passau, Germany
Ready to feel like you’re in a Renoir painting set in Passau? The pastels, the lush flora, blankets spread throughout the yard— this house space is so darn dreamy.

3. A Rooftop in Belo Horizonte, Brazil
I mean, do we really need to say much? Even the picture takes our breath away. An evening of live music on this rooftop is simply a must.

4. A Barge in Cleveland, Ohio, USA
Curious what music sounds like floating on Lake Erie, taking in a panoramic view of Cleveland’s skyline, oh and THE BEST SUNSET EVER? Don’t worry, we’ve got a spot to recommend.

5. An Observation Deck in Linz, Austria
Imagine arriving at this concert in the daylight, then watching as the sky grows dark, and your eyes adjust to the city lights beneath. Then of course there’s the minimal lights wrapped around the artists, who let their sounds drift high into the night air. You gotta feel it for yourself.

6. A Hostel Courtyard in Los Angeles, CA, USA
Enveloped in bamboo and deep green brush—we’re feeling this courtyard that belongs to Podshare, a communal housing network. In big cities, it can feel all the sweeter to find those hidden lush spaces.
