AYGYUL’s new single“Nobody Will Mind” is not just a song, but an anthem, one celebrating being true to ourselves and our identities. For years the Russian born, Vienna, Austria-based artist wasn’t open about her queer identity, concerned about perceptions from fans and people she knew back home. Her new single, featuring lines in Russian, is one meant to bring her true self to the forefront, celebrating herself and queer love.
Beane (aka, one of our favorite Boston, MA artists) has a new EP for us, a three-song serene collection under the name Plum. It’s jazzy, poppy, sweet, and we like it so much we included the standout track “Undefined” on our Sofar Gather playlist to set the mood for your next get-together. Take some time to listen to the full thing.
We’ve been listening to Abigail Osborn’s singles as they come, including the latest, “Easy Love”, a dreamy pop song that feels like it glides from start to finish. You gotta listen to feel what we mean.
Have you heard Bronze Avery’s debut album SOFTMETAL yet? A dazzling pop collection of songs that sound like driving the highway in summer at dusk? Like luscious, hook-filled new favorite tracks? If not hear it here (or, hear it again).
Lastly, if you haven’t seen it yet, make sure you make time to watch (grammy nominated) Sofar artist Lizzy McAlpine, backed by the serene vocals of Sofar artists Tiny Habits for this NPR Tiny Desk performance.See the stunning, stunning video below.
