We got loads of good news (and good music) coming from our Sofar alumni this month. New singles, festival appearances, Maroon 5 performances, and so much more. Here’s what our community of artists have been up to.
1. We’re big fans of “sunflower girl” Coral Bismuth, and we’re not the only ones. Maroon 5 lead singer Adam Levine happened to catch the artist busking one day, covering a Maroon 5 song. He liked her version so much, he decided to have her join the band on stage for a live performance. Future collaborations? We’re hoping.

2. Have you heard Tangina Stone’s new single “Cause I Can” yet? The Brooklyn, NY-based artist brings together driving rock, buoyant pop, and hip hop breakdowns for this high energy tune. After you listen, don’t forget to revisit her Sofar NYC performance.
3. Getting on the festival circuit this summer? Well, if you happened to have made it to the Glastonbury Festival last week, we hope you caught Sofar alum Lewis McLaughlin, winner of the Glastonbury Emerging Talent Contest who made his big stage debut. Fortunately we’ve gotten the chance to see him in smaller spaces, like when we got to see him play this small room in Glasgow, Scotland.
4. We’ve already had BASI VIBE on repeat alongside the rest of our Chill Vibes playlist, but the Sacramento artist just released a brand new single, “I’m Drug”, a dreamy, synthy tune that’s bound for your summer soundtrack. And of course, we’re still watching the artist’s cover of “Super Rich Kids” he gave us at Sofar San Francisco.
5. We’ve got another single for your ears. Boston-based artist Will Dailey just shared his newest, “Easy to Be Around”, a laid-back, folk-rock tune that’s a real delight. And then of course, there’s his performance of “Higher Education”, a slow number with an edge of Americana to it.
6. Ok, we’re a month late on this, but did you see Sam Ryder’s Eurovision performance? Or, did you happen to catch him playing the Platinum Jubilee at Buckingham Palace? We couldn’t be more proud of our alum. In case you missed both of those top-notch performances, you can always revisit the artist’s beautiful Sofar here.
7. Last thing, make sure you check out Micah Edwards’ new debut album, Jean Leon. The artist’s been building a name for himself as Mr. Texas Soul, and it’s catching on, along with his stellar songs. Go have a listen for yourself.
