We’ve got new EPs and singles, TV cameos, and artists crossing the world to play their songs. Let’s get right to our June artist news.
1. Congrats to B.K. Habermehl for their new EP, Mirror Neurons, vibey R&B full of smooth synth, exploring paths of processing past, present, and future. Enjoy these stunning songs.
2. Next up on June Artist News: been keeping up with Padma Lakshmi’s adventures on Hulu’s Taste The Nation? You might’ve noticed recent cameos from Sofar artist Ruby Ibarra, and St. Joseph’s Art Foundation (one of Sofar’s dreamiest spaces). Before you go scan back through the season, revisit Ruby’s Sofar performance.
3. We’ve been blown away by all the artists coming to London for the Sofar Artist in Residence, and we’re extra excited to have Manso from Goiânia, Brazil joining us. Rumor is it’s the artist’s first time crossing the ocean, and we’re awfully glad he did. Keep an eye out for more updates, but for now, revisit his Sofar performance.
4. Caleb McCoy’s new single, “Just Grieve”, featuring Shanell Alyssa is both cathartic and anthemic, with Caleb rapping through healing verses that speak to slowing down and letting yourself feel loss. It can make you cry and smile, all in a little over three minutes.
5. Lastly for our June Artist News, our friends Supertaste have a new EP, The Richest Form of Communication, a collection of kaleidoscopic, nu-disco that feels dreamy and refreshing. Pour yourself something delicious, and spend an easy evening enjoying these tunes.
