It’s the first Sofar Artist News of 2024, and it’s a packed one. This update features breakout singles, festival spots, warm layers (courtesy of Arc’teryx), and breathtaking performances. Here’s our January Artist News.
1. Have you heard UMI’s new single? The LA-based singer-songwriter released a new track on the eve of the New Year, back in late December. It’s called “wherever u r” and it slaps. It features V from BTS, and it already has over 4.5 million views on YouTube.
Want to see UMI perform “wherever u r” live? Catch her at one of her upcoming shows, including a pair of concerts in Australia in March.
2. Another Sofar LA artist, Evangeline, features on the new single from Vulfmon, “Letting Things Go”. The track is groovy and beautifully sparse, and showcases Evangeline’s voice front and center. Evangeline has played 20 Sofar shows and released the Fuzzy EP last year. “Letting Things Go” is the latest single from Vulfpeck member, Jack Stratton, who performs under the moniker Vulfmon.
3. Colorado’s LVDY have released a new song, “By & By”, and it’s heartwarming. The singer-songwriter duo have been making strides across the United States, leading a successful crowdfunding campaign and releasing their debut full-length, Gold, in 2021. The duo have performed over 30 Sofar shows, mostly in Denver. Catch them on the road through March.
4. Our partnership with Arc’teryx is heating up! This month, Tasha performed “Love Song” to a bundled up crowd in Chicago, who were all decked out in Arc’teryx puffers. Keep an eye out for the next Delight in the Detour concert, and in the meantime watch Tasha’s performance:
5. Do you know Toulouse’s Lykuin? She’s a vocal powerhouse, as proved on her new single, “Doucie”. The French singer has released a slew of singles over the past year and is in the midst of a tour across France in January and February. Here she is performing her mesmerizing song “Blue Ocean” at a Sofar Toulouse show earlier this month:
