Welcome to Asch Building, a modern day department store nestled in Houston, Texas. What started as a vision for a single atelier turned into a building full of local goods and vendors, with clothing and leather goods being made on site, a home division selling items like house-made candles, a cafe serving tea and coffee, fresh produce and meats coming in from local purveyors— there’s even honey from the bees kept outside.
We got the chance to tour the space with founder Destiny Ellis, as she guides us through the family operated, beautiful space, including the backyard which has been designed for special Sofar evenings cozied up in rocking chairs and wool blankets.
