- Sibling music collective Infinity Song just wrapped up some shows at the legendary Blue Note jazz club in NYC, and are hitting the (European) road at the end of May! Catch them at shows in the UK and central Europe. Also don’t miss their set at Lollapalooza in Chicago the first weekend in August!
Not familiar with Infinity Song? Let us catch you up. After years performing at Bethesda Fountain in Central Park, the quartet were discovered by Jay-Z and signed to the Roc Nation label in 2016. Early on they were told to not conform to the label’s aesthetic, opting instead to keep their unique blend of soft harmonies, existential lyrics, and rock stylings. Good call, Jay.

Our Sofar VIP & Premium Experiences team is supporting a bunch of tours across the US this spring. Grab your VIP package for those and other artists like Staind, Marcus King, and Charley Crockett.
3. The other week we noticed this Sebastian Schub performance from 2019 picking up thousands of views overnight on the Sofar YouTube channel, breathing new life into a a video from five years ago. It’s no wonder too, that Schub’s performance is still connecting with audiences: his entrancing voice sounds both old and new, smooth yet pained.
4. We love a good Tiny Desk submission, and NorCal’s The Philharmonik (a.k.a Christian Gates) took the office theme to heart, recording the video for his song “What’s It All Mean?” at a real estate office in Sacramento, backed by a full band. This one even caught the eye of NPR’s Top Shelf show.
It’s a feel-good funk anthem, for sure. Just try watching this without nodding your head or flashing a smile. C’mon, we dare you.
5. Ever heard of the Salt Lick Incubator? It’s a Boston-based non-profit musician’s incubator, focused on giving a platform to emerging artists. Sofar partnered with Salt Lick to launch artists Alex Blue, Léa the Leox, and Claire Ernst on a national tour. It’s called the Portraits & Memoirs Tour, and there are still tickets available for the Chicago, Nashville, and Atlanta shows.
6. This next one is a who’s who of Sofar talent. Jade Bird kicked off her tour last week in Houston, promoting her new EP Burn the Hard Drive, with opener Aubrey Hays. Upcoming shows in May will feature Rianne Downey in Seattle and Hannah Connolly in SF.
There are tons of upcoming Sofar shows happening near you. Check out what’s on in your city!
