Pinqy Ring
Born and brought up in Chicago, Marisol Vélez (a.k.a. Pinqy Ring) is a force of resiliency, and quick sonic momentum. The hip hop MC double-dutches through her verses as the beats pop and slap around her. But the real power comes from the raw honesty in her lyrics– Vélez speaks her truth, fast and forthright.
Adam Martinez
A singer, songwriter, and producer, Adam Martinez is a Chicago-based triple-threat is making smooth and sweet ear candy tunes. Just check out his performance of “Siempre Me Falla” at Sofar Chicago:
Lester Rey
With a sound dubbed “Neo Latin Soul,” Lester Rey weaves Caribbean and Latin arrangements into danceable, R&B leaning beats. Somehow it feels like a dreamy neon sunset.
Cvgebird
What happens when your sonic influences stretch between Celia Cruz, João Gilberto, and Biggie? For Cvgebird, the styles blended into her own sound– Acoustic Trap Soul. Start with “Frida Trap” for a taste of it.
