We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again—good music can and will happen anywhere. Sometimes you might find it on a barge at sunset, or deep in the woods, and other times it might be in The Queen’s Gallery in Buckingham Palace. With Sofar, anything and everything is possible when it comes to live music. Here are four unexpected spaces Sofar can take you.
1. Under an Airplane
Don’t worry, the plane’s not taking off any time soon. But imagine being here at the Aeronautical Museum in Málaga, Spain, hearing intimate performances on a sunny afternoon beneath giant, classic aircrafts. Now that’s a delightful day.

2. To a Climbing Gym
Turns out all those climbing holds make for some nice acoustics. Watching artists play their songs in this lit-up climbing gym in Houston, TX, the walls slowly stop looking like climbing routes, and instead look like some very interesting, textural decorations. It’s all about how you look at it.

3. Between the Barrels in a Distillery
In Boulder, CO, tucked between walls of wooden casks aging delectable whiskey, you can find live performances from artists playing stripped down sets. If we have to sum the whole feeling of the experience up in one word, it’d probably be “warmth,” but you should go check it out and see what comes to mind.

4. Inside of Casa Batlló
That’s right, you could end up in a Gaudí creation in the heart of Barcelona, discovering new artists. Need we say more?
