Long days, warm starry nights—summer is HERE. As we get into the groove of the season (we have a feeling it won’t be that tough of an adjustment), we thought we’d share a few Sofar concerts that just sound like that magical summer feeling.
1. Night Spins – Bad Drunk | Sofar New York City
There’s something about the way the NYC band eases us in with that steady groove—simple, wide drums, a little tambourine shine, that bass movement paired with the acoustic strums. Let the song’s laid-back, sunny vibe shine upon you.
2. Jasmin – Warm Summer Day | Sofar Aachen
Happen to be somewhere that’s taking a little longer to kick into summer? Jasmin knows your frustration. The artist treats us to this wistful, jazzy number, “Warm Summer Day”, which feels just about as pleasant as a casual joyride through a picturesque countryside, windows down, surrounded by the ease of summer.
3. Trishes – Summer Friends | Sofar San Francisco
Summer’s about relaxing, but it’s also just about those bursts of energy, the possibility that comes with long bright days and hot nights. Something about Trishes’ performance of “Summer Friends” encapsulates that, with the artist’s lush vocals, and pop-forward looping builds. The song just feels optimistic, wouldn’t you say?
